Spector named Director of UT Austin’s Gaming Academy
Warren Spector, the creator of Deus Ex, System Shock and more, has found his next position.
Spector was named the director of the Denius-Sams Gaming Academy at the University of Texas at Austin.
The program, which is a post-baccalaureate program focusing on development, will launch in the fall of 2014.
Spector had already agreed to help with the program when it was announced, working alongside Blizzard COO Paul Sams, Richard Garriott, EA CCO Richard Hilleman and BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk.
Only 20 students will be accepted for the first semester, and each will get a tuition waiver and a $10,000 stipend for housing.
