Microsoft revealed via their official blog that the SkyDrive app for the Xbox One will let users stream their photos and videos on the new console when it launches on Nov. 22.
The app will also make use of SkyDrive’s share functionality, where a friend or family member can upload any specific pictures to SkyDrive to share with others, allowing you to stream those as well.
According to the company, the app will also use what they call “snap and see”, where snapping a photo from a Windows Phone will automatically upload those photos to SkyDrive and allow you to check them out on your TV.
When viewing any image, you’ll have the capability to zoom in while retaining quality, as the app will only download 1080p images. Clicking on the right trigger will let you zoom in while panning can be done with the right analog stick. Also when viewing photos, they will slide and zoom into view in order to provide a slicker presentation.
