Are you a fan of Blizzard’s Warcraft series that wishes you could play the original two games on your modern PC? If so, you may be happy to hear that Blizzard Entertainment is working to bring those original games to modern PCs.

This news came at the World of Warcraft question and answer panel at BlizzCon 2013. During this, Brack revealed the “side project” to a fan who had asked if the company will be making the older Warcraft games compatible with modern computers.

Said Brack, “So, we actually have a guy on our team — actually several guys on our team — who are actually working on a side project to do something like that in some form or fashion. We’re fans of Warcraft 1, Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, and we’d love to replay those games for sure.”

For those unaware, the original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans was released in 1994 for MS-DOS, while the second game, Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness hit in 1995, receiving an expansion pack called Beyond the Dark Portal the following year.

What do you think of this side project? Are you looking forward to possibly replaying the games on your modern PC?

Thanks, Polygon (via Kotaku)
