PSN friend limit increased to 2000
Gamers can now obtain up to 2000 friends on their PlayStation Network friends list as Sony has activated the previously announced limit increase. This allows gamers with a Vita to begin cultivating their pal list ahead of the PlayStation 4’s launch, however if any were hoping to get as many on their PlayStation 3s, they may be out of luck.
The PlayStation 3 XMB still only supports up to 100 friends on the list. If your count goes over the 100 mark, according to PlayStation Europe Community Manager Chris Own, the PlayStation 3 servers will automatically filter in your active friends. He also states that you can set a preset list of you would prefer.
PlayStation socialites can add 2000 of their nearest and dearest to their PSN friends list, after Sony activated the previously-announced limit Sony plans to support display of all your friends in most of the games (and applications) on the system, but do state that some will have to keep to the 100 limit.
