If you’re a trivia lover like I am, you’ve been trying to figure out how to shove your credit card into your Steam OS all day.
Anyone who has enjoyed/survived a Steam sale knows how irresistible good, cheap games are, and Jellyvision quietly took advantage of this fact by releasing the good majority of their You Don’t Know Jack series onto Steam, most for $3 or less.
Billed as the trivia game “where high culture and pop culture collide,” Jellyvision started Jack-ing in the late 90s and well on into the 2000s and beyond.
In 2011, the rebooted You Don’t Know Jack hit PC and consoles, and led to a daily webshow on Jellyvision’s website, and later, daily episodes on Facebook and mobile systems. Now known as Jackbox Games, the irreverent quiz show hits Valve’s gift to gaming, re-releasing Volumes 1,2, 3, 4 (The Ride), and 6 (The Lost Gold), though curiously not 5. Also released are the three specialty games Movies, TV, and Sports, and the teen version HeadRush. The re-booted console version can also be found for $19.99.
