Today Sony released the PlayStation Vita 3.00 system update. This update includes several features, such as teh PS4 link application which will allow you to remotely control your PlayStation 4 system upon release.
The other features include Parental Controls, which have been added to the Vita’s home screen, Photos, or specifically a panoramic camera setting, and an improved application layout for the Friends list on your handheld.
Sony has also changed the Group Messaging application name to “Messages”, changed the Party icon, allowed the syncing of contacts saved in your email for various services (including Gmail and Yahoo! Mail), and changed the Remote Play application name to “PS3 Remote Play” in order to distinguish it from the PS4 application.
The last bit of changing they did was to allow gamers to utilize Wi-Fi to connect to their PlayStation 3s in order to transfer data between them. For those wondering, your systems must be connected to the same network and your PS3 must be running 4.5 or later. In addition, they’ve allowed gamers to download system software updates automatically and finally, display PS4 game trophies on your PS Vita.
The update can be found in full on the PlayStation Blog. What are your thoughts on these changes?
