Sony has officially announced today, that MLB 14 The Show will be coming to the PlayStation 4 next spring, alongside of course, the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions. As you can see from the promo above, it should also be noted that Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers, is also the official cover athlete for the game.
Sony’s San Diego Studios is developing the game and they have put together a few screenshots of the game, which include a comparison shot of a scoreboard from MLB 13 The Show and MLB 14 The Show.
While Sony isn’t ready to reveal a ton of information on the game just yet, they did announce a few tidbits about its development.
For starters, beginning with MLB 14 The Show, gamers will be able to carry over their saves into future versions of the game, so you won’t have to start a new Franchise or Road to the Show from scratch. There will also be a new Quick Counts option which lets gamers play through full games faster (in about 30 minutes) by using generated pitch counts.
According to Sony, the game will also include a “new advancement system, new intuitive player creation process, and all new pre-draft prospect showcase.”
As expected, Sony will also let gamers share their big moments by using the PS4’s share feature to publish their favorite game-changing plays.
