Oh my god! They delayed The Stick of Truth again! You BASTARDS!
Details surrounding the second delay are about as fuzzy as Towelie’s memory, but according to a Ubisoft blog attributed to Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the continued pushback of the South Park RPG is due to commitment to quality… of some sort. “We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”
I agree, Cartman.
The game was initially pushed back after it’s December 2011 reveal due to the bankruptcy of THQ. Ubisoft acquired the title during proceedings and gave it the current release date of December 2013. According to IGN, the game will (allegedly) launch March 4, 2014 in North America.
Screw you guys, I’m going home.
