Take-Two has announced a net loss for the second quarter of 2014, although its huge title was not counted towards financial results.
The company had a net loss of $124.1 million, and net revenue of $148.8 million. Last year, the company had a $12.4 million loss during Q2.
However, Grand Theft Auto 5, which had 29 million copies shipped and made $1 billion in three days, was not counted in the results.
As a result, Take-Two expects Q3 net revenue to hit $700 million, with the fiscal year now ending at $2.3 billion.
Another Take-Two title, Borderlands 2, has shipped 7.5 million titles and, according to Take-Two president Karl Slatoff, “is on track to becoming the highest-selling title in 2K’s history.”
The second Headhunter DLC, Wattle Gobbler, will launch in November.
