Luigi-themed 2DS pictures spotted

Luigi 2DS spotted.

It seems we may be getting a Luigi-themed 2DS from Nintendo soon. A few pictures have appeared on the internet showcasing the same silhouette that the Luigi-themed 3DS XL features, and the pictures of the 2DS show the console is white and green.

The images that caused this story were sent in to our friends at Kotaku by one of their tipsters. It is possible that this will turn out to be a bogus lead (if we’re to be completely honest, we must always admit the possibility), but 2013 does seem to be the Year of Luigi, so it wouldn’t be surprising.

Nintendo has made no official announcement regarding such a console, however. We will keep you updated if they state anything.
