Zelda music box only available in Collector’s Edition.

Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed a pre-order bonus, namely a Zelda music box. They were seemingly hinting that the object would be offered to all who pre-order the upcoming 3DS title, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Today, we’ve discovered that this isn’t the case. It will indeed be a bonus, but only for those who purchase the Collector’s Edition of the game. This edition is a retailer exclusive at GAME, and will cost £49.99.

Also in the Collector’s Edition, gamers will receive a physical copy of the game, a code that allows them to download the game digitally, a poster, and a code that allows the gamer who purchased the Collector’s Edition to download the original Game Boy version. This final code will emailed to buyers once the order is confirmed.

This, as our source at MCV UK points out, means that, “as a result pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition can’t be cancelled”.

What are your thoughts on this GAME exclusive edition, and retailer exclusive items in general?
