Recently a rumor has been going around that Evolution Studios’ PlayStation 4 launch game DriveClub has been delayed to spring of next year.
The ones who brought this rumor to light originally, The Same Coin, cites an anonymous source, and Kotaku has since stated that the report is true thanks to “a person familiar with goings-on at Sony”.
In addition, the event in San Francisco today that was going to feature DriveClub among the games that would be shown off has removed the game. The reason for the removal is reportedly a “scheduling conflict”.
All of this has caused fans to ask what’s going on with the game, to which the game’s design directory, Paul Rustchynsky, replied on Twitter. He stated, “Unfortunately guys I don’t have any new information on DRIVECLUB to share. I’ve been out if the office for a week looking after my newborn!”
What do you think? Is the rumor true, and if so, will we have a similar situation as with Watch Dogs (at least through GameStop and Amazon)?
