Ubisoft’s CFO Alain Martinez revealed today some breaking news about two of the most important franchises created by the developer. The last games in the Splinter Cell and Rayman series, Blacklist and Legends, have been under performing since launch when it comes to sales and profit.
“We have had games that were released for which we anticipate today lower sales than we anticipated when we gave our first targets,” Martinez said during an investors’ conference call. When asked to clarify which games he was talking about, he added, “Already released games such as, of course, Splinter Cell, Rayman, and others.”
Ubisoft has adjusted their estimated revenue for this fiscal year after they have delayed both Watch Dogs and The Crew. More than that, after they saw how the two games mentioned before did they are expecting more losses this year.
