PlayStaiton 4: The final true console?
Foxconn has admitted that interns were assigned to work overtime to make parts for the PlayStation 4.
The work was in violation of company policies according to Ars Technica. The report notes that thousands of students from the Xi’an Institute of Technology were forced to work to receive course credits.
Foxconn has said that “immediate actions have been taken to bring that campus into full compliance with our code and policies.” However, the company said that the work was voluntary, although the credit claim above seems to be otherwise.
Sony noted that they found Foxconn to be within compliance of the Sony Supplier Code of Conduct.
