Ikaruga crops up on Steam Greenlight.
Yes, you read that correctly. The popular shoot-em-up, which debuted in arcades back in 2001 is getting a PC port soon.
Many PC gamers may be thinking, “It’s about time,” as the game had been ported to several consoles in the past, including Nintendo’s GameCube, SEGA’s Dreamcast, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 (thanks to the Xbox Live Arcade), and it even received an Android port earlier this year.
The news was shared with us by our friends at Kotaku, who pointed us to Steam’s Greenlight page, where an entry for a “tuned up” PC port of the popular Ikaruga has cropped up. The port will be an enhanced version of the Xbox Live Arcade version of the game, and though no release date or PC specific details have been unveiled, fans are sure to eat this up.
