Bioshock 2 gets a Steam update
PC gamers may recall that there was an option to purchase Bioshock 2 through Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live service. This service is now no more, so what are gamers who did so to do?
Well, we’ve got good news on that front. Digital Extremes, the company that took care of the multiplayer for the game’s PC version, has provided an update for the Steam version. In addition to more streamlined matchmaking for multiplayer, it also supports the Xbox 360 controller, Steam achievements, and the claim of the process of levelling in multiplayer as being “quicker and easier”.
What may be most interesting to gamers though is the fact that if you did purchase the game through Microsoft’s service, you can use that same activation code in Steam. By doing so, you’ll gain access to the Steam version of the game and all of the DLC that’s been released, including the Minterva’s Den single-player expansion.
What are your thoughts on the Steam update of the game?
