Today, Nintendo Direct showed off a video that revealed quite a bit of information. Instead of bombard you with all of the information at once, however, we’ll be splitting it up into smaller segments, linking each post together in case you want to read more upon finishing.

The video that was shown off today confirmed a free software update for Pikmin 3. This will provide gamers with a brand new Mission Mode stage free of charge. New Mission Mode stages are also available as paid downloadable content, and additional stages are slated to be made available in the future. Finally, the update improves the game’s global ranking feature, thus allowing you the ability to see the world’s highest scores at any time you wish. In addition to the Pikmin news, Nintendo showed off a few new Wii Remote Plus designs. These designs will include both a Mario-themed controller and a Luigi-themed controller, allowing gamers to pick up their favourite brother. They will be available on November 1 at a suggested retail price of $39.99 apiece.
