Today, Nintendo Direct showed off a video that revealed quite a bit of information. Instead of bombard you with all of the information at once, however, we’ll be splitting it up into smaller segments, linking each post together in case you want to read more upon finishing.

To start off, the video showed off Super Mario 3D World. This will contain a ton of fresh power-ups, such as cherries, which will allow players to duplicate their characters. In addition, Mario will gain a brand new transformation. That is, he will be able to transform into a cat in this game. Finally, a brand new website for this game, which will be released on November 22, has been launched, and can be found at http://supermario3dworld.nintendo.com.

Next up, they confirmed Sega’s blue hedgehog, Sonic, will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros, which will launch on Wii U and 3DS in 2014.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games launches on November 15 (only on Wii U), and will allow players all around the world to take the action online, competting with others. There will be four events that can be played online, namely the Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross, Short Track Speed Skating, and the Winter Sports Champion Race, which combines skiing, ice skating, bobsleigh, and snowboarding into one single event. In addition, every time a player wins a medal, they get points for their home country. These points can be viewed through persistent online rankings.
