The popular Cut the Rope game is getting itself a sequel, with Cut the Rope 2, as announced by ZeptoLab today, launching this holiday season.
The mobile game will once again star Om Nom, the little green critter from the original title, but will include new characters, additional gameplay mechanics, a new story and more.
Cut the Rope was originally dropped in 2010, with updates such as Time Travel and Experiments being released later, with the developer saying it has garnered over 400 million downloads to date.
“We remain dedicated to our mission: examining the science of fun,” said ZeptoLab CEO Misha Lyalin. “That means building experiences that players love. Cut the Rope 2 is a massive step forward for the game. Amazing graphics, gameplay and characters drive a brand new experience that fans are going to love.”
