GTA V Sound Mode coming to Sony’s Pulse Elite Edition headset

With the release of Grand Theft Auto V, Sony has worked with Rockstar to create an exclusive GTA V Sound Mode for the Pulse-Elite Edition Headset for the PlayStation 3.

The mode will be available at midnight tonight, with the launch of the game via the Pulse Elite Manager Ap.  The App and sound mode can both be picked up through the PlayStation Store.

According to Sony, the new Grand Theft Auto V Sound Mode uses sound and vibration to locate gunfire during shootouts while letting players feel the impact of bullets, not literally of course.  The mode also includes a vibration-based heartbeat to indicate low health and other effects from crashes and explosions.

In addition, players will also be able to pick up the PS3 Grand Theft Auto V bundle, which features a 500GB PS3, a copy of GTA V and a 30-day PlayStation Plus membership for $269. Along with that, players can also purchase the custom-designed GTA V Pulse Elite Edition headset (pictured above) via GameStop for $179.99.
