GameStick launching Oct. 29

by on September 12, 2013

GameStick will be launching worldwide Oct. 29.

The micro games console will be available at GameStop, GAME and Amazon, among others.

The console was funded by Kickstarter in January, but saw delays in June to meet QA targets and to make sure backers would be the first to get the console.

“While to myself and the team at PlayJam the journey seems longer, we have in fact come a significant way in a very short period of time with GameStick,” says Smith, PlayJam CEO, “The challenge of bringing affordable gaming to the big screen has always sat at the heart of everything we do and GameStick represents a huge step forward in reaching that goal. We’re extremely proud of what we have achieved and look forward to families getting their hands on devices in the run up to Christmas.”

PlayJam notes that units for backers will ship at the end of September.
