Space Hulk Turn-based game is not related to upcoming FPS.
Many may be unaware, but there is currently a Space Hulk first-person shooter currently in development. In fact, today a teaser trailer has been released, showing off a bit of what we can expect.
Before we view the teaser, however, we should make it perfectly clear that Space Hulk: Deathwing is not related to Danish indie develpoper Full Control’s recently released Space Hulk turn-based strategy game. It is simply the latest product in the Games Workshop video game licensing line.
The upcoming FPS is being published by Focus Home Interactive and developed on the Unreal Engine 4 by Streum On Studio. For those who may not recognize the developer’s name, this is the company that brought us E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, with a bit of help on the production side from Cyanide.
The game seems to be roughly what you would expect from a Space Hulk game. You will take the role of a Space Marine Terminator and fight Genestealers on a creepy derelict space ship. While advancing, you will gain access to new skills, abilities, and equipment. Indeed, you even have access to Psykers powers as you are playing the role of a Librarian, and will gain Fervor Points to spend on a total of 4 different skill trees.
Will Space Hulk: Deathwing be able to make a name for itself, or will it fall into the same bucket that so many FPS games tend to?
