UK retailer GAME has announced the trade-in details to upgrade current-gen to next-gen versions of games.
Customers who trade in their PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts or FIFA 14 will receive a guranteed amount of £40 store credit. They can then use this towards the price of the next-gen versions of the games. At the currently announced prices this will mean customers will have to spend £10-£15 for the new versions.
There are several conditions on this offer however. The trade-ins can only be done in store and must be done before December 24th. The games must also be in good condition and full working order, and the alternative cash prices will vary.
This news follows on the back of Sony’s announcement at Gamescom that they will offer “significant discounts” for gamers upgrading to the next-gen versions of games, while Activison also announced a seperate deal for CoD: Ghosts, though the values of these deals has yet to be announced.
EA and Activision have also announced that player progress will also be carried over to the next-gen versions.
