Since E3 2013 Microsoft has changed a lot of policies that bothered many gamers. Now you can play your Xbox One without having to be always connected and you can trade your games and even sell them without any problems.
Some people saw this changes as a sign of weakness from the company but a small group considered that Microsoft is in fact caring about gamers and they are making those changes in order to please customer’s wishes.
Lionhead’s creative director Gary Carr is one of those few people.
“Talking about the E3 briefing, I think there is a connection to be honest,” he said. “A lot of people sometimes think that Microsoft is too far removed from what people are saying and what people want, but I don’t think that’s actually true.”
“The fact that Microsoft turned round and changed its Xbox One online policy within a week – is that a bad thing? I think that’s a great thing. I think it is listening. It turned around and admitted ‘we got some things wrong, we’ve heard you and we’ve changed our policy on that’.” he added.
We can’t really rely on his statement as Lionhead has their best franchises developed exclusively for Xbox 360, so we can’t know for sure if his views are entirely his own.
