Nintendo price cuts the Nintendo Wii U by $50, reveals Wind Waker HD bundle
As of Sep. 20, Nintendo is dropping the price of the Nintendo Wii U $50, for the Deluxe version, which will make it a much more tempting $299.
With next-gen consoles on the way fro Microsoft and Sony, it made sense for Nintendo to offer a more competitive price to perhaps entice gamers for the holiday season.
In addition, Nintendo also confirmed that there will be a bundle available on that same day that packages the deluxe edition of the Wii U, along with a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. The bundle will include a black Wii U with gold lettering on the Gamepad, as well as gold Hyrule crest and gold symbols from the game. It will include a download code of the digital version of Hyrule Historia, which is a book that details the history and artwork of The Legend of Zelda series and a download code for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD that can be used in the eShop immediately.
The standalone digital version of Wind Waker HD launches on Sep. 20, while the packaged version arrives on Oct 4, both for $49.99.
