Ni No Kuni reaches 1.4 million in sales.

During the Vision press conference held yesterday by Level-5, the company’s president and CEO, Akihiro Hino, spoke of several interesting things.

The first thing he revealed was that there is indeed a Professor Layton 7 in production for Android, iOS, and the 3DS. The game is sure to feature the same interesting puzzles and storyline that the previous games did, and will likely sell quite well upon release. Indeed, the Professor Layton series is the company’s most successful series, selling over 15 million copies worldwide.

Mr. Hino went on to announce that Ni No Kuni was quite a success, selling 1.4 million copies worldwide on the two consoles it was released on. These consoles, for those unaware, are the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo 3DS (the game was released for the latter only in Japan).

Will the company continue to experience such success? And will Ni No Kuni‘s success result in a sequel to the much beloved RPG?

Thanks, Siliconera.
