Manage your own “Sentai” T.V. show with Chroma Squad

A good amount of you have probably seen the power rangers series here in the US. They’re like on season a billion or something. Then there are those of you who know about the Super Sentai series in Japan, which the power rangers are based off of. Remember back in the day of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (AKA ZyuRanger/Dairanger/Kakuranger) when the effects looked so cheesy? You probably thought to yourself “I could do a better job than that!” Well now you can with Chroma Squad.

Chroma Squad comes from the people who brought you Knights of Pen and Paper. It’s a sort of simulation/management/RTS game all in one. You are in charge of a “Sentai” studio and the fate of the world…as in your livelihood…is in your hands! You must market your shows, hire actors, buy equipment, and actually produce episodes (which is a bit more difficult than you would imagine). Producing episodes requires you to go into a real time strategy type situation where your sentai actors “beat up” the villain actors. Along the way you chose how you want the story line for your show to go, which will be one of multiple endings.

Chroma Squad will be launching on Linux, Mac, and Windows as well as tablets (both iOS and Android) in late 2013/early 2014. They may even publish the game on Xbox One, PS4, as well as the Ouya depending on how open they are to indie titles come late 2014. The Kickstarter for the game is over but you can still help them out by voting over at their Steam Greenlight page.
