HTC launching the HTC One mini on Aug. 23 with AT&T
HTC has today confirmed that it will launch the HTC One mini on AT&T on Aug. 23 for $99.99 with a 2-year contract.
The HTC One mini is a smaller and lighter version of the HTC One, and still uses an aluminum body while providing a much more compact 4.3-inch Super LCD 2HD 720p display.
The smartphone will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.4GHz processor and will come with HTC’s UltraPixel Camera, which has a backside illuminated sensor that captures more light (300% more) than traditional smartphones for much improved images in low and bright light conditions.
Jason Mackenzie, President of North America, HTC, said “The HTC One mini is pocket-friendly but packed with large experiences – an HD screen, our breakthrough UltraPixel camera, a home screen with customized feeds from news networks to social networks including Instagram, and huge sound from its front-facing stereo speakers.”
The HTC One mini comes with many of the same features as the HTC One, including Blinkfeed, which streams news and social updates, as well as photos on the home screen in aggregate form, as well as Zoe, for editing photos and creating short video highlights. Then there’s HTC BoomSound which provides dual front-facing speakers with a built-in amp from Beats Audio.
