Games for Windows Live marketplace shutting down

Players rejoice! Since Microsoft is switching from MP to actual currency, they’re shutting down the Games for Window Live marketplace! No longer will new games on the PC be plagued by this menace. For those that wish to still maintain this dastardly foe, fear not for thine games with Windows  Live will still be operational.

This change will only stop games from being purchasable on the Games for Windows Live marketplace, the client however will still be supported. You can still download any already purchased content whenever you like. However, if you wish to purchase new downloadable content for games it may be a hit or miss. Downloadable content/in game content will be available depending on the game. As to what that means, or if there is a set formula Microsoft has neglected to mention.

For those with Microsoft points on the Windows for Xbox Live service, or if you want to purchase more games from the marketplace you have until the 22nd of this month to do so. After that, the marketplace is gone forever.

If you’d like more info about this change you can check it out here: PC Marketplace is closing
