Assassin’s Creed 4 and Watch_Dogs selling more on next-gen platforms

Alain Corre European chief over at Ubisoft revealed to MCV today that two of their biggest games of this year, Assassin’s Creed 4 and Watch Dogs, are selling much better on next-gen console than current-gen consoles.

“The fans are really excited to get their hands on the new technology,” Corre said. “It has been eight years without a home console from Sony or Microsoft so we feel a lot of excitement from our fans for Watch Dogs or Assassin’s Creed IV. The pre-orders we are getting are much bigger on our next-gen games.

“So we feel that the transition might be quicker. There is a real appetite for change.”

“So we’re full of confidence heading into 2014.” he concluded.

We really understand the trend to buy games on next-gen console rather than current-gen consoles and we’re sure that more games are experiencing this transition. There’s no surprise that people prefer the variety of new features that the new console have to offer.
