Although Grasshopper Manufacture has created several games beloved by gamers, such as No More Heroes, the studio hasn’t had much luck garnering mainstream success.
Unfortunately, their latest creation appears to be continuing this trend. Killer is Dead launched in Japan, and the sales have been less than spectacular. According to data obtained by market research firm Media Create, the game placed at number five, selling only 17,709 copies on PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 version did worse, failing to even break the top twenty.
Killer is Dead launches to lackluster sales.
Although this may sound bad, it’s worth noting that the game did sell better at the start than many of their previous games, including No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, and Killer 7.
Will the game garner a cult following like many of their previous games?
