Tom Clancy’s The Division is going to be pretty much the same game regardless of the platform you purchase it on, according to Ryan Bernard, the game’s director.
It may also be worth noting that the game’s Snowdrop engine has nothing in common with the Anvil engine that powers Assssin’s Creed. The new engine is optimised for next-generation hardware.
Division to be same on Xbox One and PS4.
Stated Mr. Bernard, “Currently, right now, because we’re releasing for both platforms, we want the best game experience for both. We’re not planning specific content or specific unique, I guess, elements for either platform.”
Mr. Bernard continued to state, “We have a long development cycle, and who knows what will happen by the time the game’s released? But at the time, currently we’re not planning anything unique.”
What will gamers think of this decision?
