It’s now official! Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the game developed for the past years by Ubisoft Toronto has gone gold today. The previous mentioned term “gold” means that the game is finished and it’s ready to be sent to factories for duplication.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our team,” senior producer Alex Parizeau told IGN. “This is a huge accomplishment for Ubisoft Toronto and for the studios that collaborated with us on this ambitious project – Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Pune. Splinter Cell Blacklist is the first project to go gold in our studio, and I can tell you the atmosphere here is electric.”

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a stealth-oriented action game that will be released on 20 August for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U.
