Microsoft does away with an annoying Xbox LIVE limitation

Xbox One and Games for Windows Live can run at the same time.

Xbox One and Games for Windows Live can run at the same time.

Microsoft gamers have been annoyed when they tried to play a Games for Windows Live PC game as a friend or roommate attempted to stream Netflix on the Xbox 360. By being forcefully logged onto the console, you are booted from the PC game, and cannot enjoy it as you would otherwise.

There is good news, however. This annoying limitation is being done away with by Microsoft for their upcoming console. Said a PR representative today, “You may be logged into Games for Windows Live and an Xbox One console simultaneously.” This means that if you want to perform the above sccenario, you can without fear of being kicked out.

This is just one way that Xbox LIVE will differ for Xbox One users. Microsoft detailed several other ways via the Xbox Wire.

Will this feature make Xbox gamers happy, or will Microsoft have to do a bit more to win back the fanbase after their initial horrible restrictions for the console?
