Trying to get an edge in the competition versus Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft announced today some improvements they made regarding Xbox One. In a podcast held by Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb and chief product officer Marc Whitten they announced that Xbox One will have an overclocked GPU.
Since E3 2013, Microsoft decided to up the GPU speed of Xbox One by 53 Mhz, which will actually increase the speed to 863 Mhz from the original 800 Mhz.
On top of that, the development team of the console worked very hard to rebuild the graphics driver to optimize performance. It’s not much, but it’s still a good start for Microsoft’s Xbox One.
