World of Tanks on Xbox One depends on the installed base, according to Wargaming.net CEO

Free-to-play simulator World of Tanks is only launching on Xbox 360 and PC, but developer Wargaming.net could see it come to the Xbox One once Microsoft builds an installed base.

Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi spoke about the next-generation console: “First of all, it’s not yet released. Second of all, we can see from the previous generation of consoles – from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo – that it does take time to get a big enough installed base. Right now Xbox Live has 47 million members, right?”

Free-to-play games thrive with large amounts of users, so it makes sense the developer is waiting to see how the system turns out.

The game will launch this summer.
