Head of Microsoft Studios Phil Spencer took to Twitter to address a few concerns regarding indie development on the Xbox One.

According to Spencer, indie developers will likely have full access to the Xbox One’s RAM and features, contrary to what’s been floating around.

Spencer was asked on Twitter whether indie devs would get access to a bigger pool of RAM or have to contend with the 3GB in the Xbox One’s Windows partition.

Goals is to allow devs access to full pool of resources available, no indie RAM limit.

The Microsoft exec also chimed in on how indie games can be found on the Xbox One’s marketplace.

We are committed to creating a search tools and marketplace pivots to allow you to find games you’ll like

More details to come. Likely pivot is ‘Most Popular’ giving you a view of what people are buying regardless of how it is published.

This is certainly good news for indie developers who are thinking of supporting the Xbox One. Let’s hope Microsoft continues this turnaround as they have a tall mountain to climb.

Thanks, CVG!
