Microsoft retracting indie stance, will allow indies to self-publish

After several complaints from gamers, Microsoft decided to vanquish their not-so-popular “features” that made Xbox One hated by almost everyone. This is how DRM and always-online disappeared from the console.

A few days ago we saw how a few developers launched complaints about the no self-publishing policy adopted by Microsoft on the Xbox One. Well, their movement seems to be working as Microsoft announced that the will publish a new indie self-publishing certification.

But don’t get overexcited too fast, as the policies may not be as good as we predict.
