Blizzard has filed a trademark for “Cute But Deadly” with the United States Patent & Trademark Office for a range of goods, video games not included.
The application covers goods like comic books, milk bottle caps, trading cards, calendars, art books, and more. Not mentioned is Blizzard’s most popular product: games.
Blizzard currently sells World of Warcraft stuffed animals on its online store. The trademark may suggest the company plans to expand its offerings.
Blizzard has not commented on the trademark.
The Irvine, Calif.-based developer’s next announced game is a console port of its popular action role-playing game Diablo 3. Diablo 3 will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 3. A report earlier this month said Blizzard plans to release the game on next-generation consoles later in 2014.
