Gamers have started a petition asking Namco-Bandai to localize the newest Digimon game titled Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode.

This petition is called “Operation Decode”, and has amassed 5,214 supporters (as of the time of this post).  They still need 2,285 signatures, however, but we can be sure that the fans who created this petition won’t be giving up anytime soon.

For those unaware, Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode is a reamek of a 2012 PSP game by the title of Digimon World Re: Digitize. The game was never localized in the west due to the PSP’s poor sales, to the regret of many Digimon fans.

The remake will introduce “new monsters, new evolutions, new characters, overhauled gameplay features, and a brand new scenario with an exclusive female main character”. The petition’s creator, Francesco Haseo, argues that these features make the game an ideal candidate for localization.

Will the petition gain ground? Or will we be missing out on another Digimon localization?
