Quantic Dream’s David Cage will be amongst the speakers at this year’s GDC, organisers have announced.
Cage, the man behind Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, will be talking about the new motion capture techniques used in his projects – especially the tech demo The Dark Sorcerer, which was shown at this year’s E3. The press release states that, “These techniques will cover everything needed for using virtual actors in next-gen titles, and will be demonstrated with exclusive footage from The Dark Sorcerer.”
Other talks scheduled to take place include Joshua Howard from Crytek and Steve Masters from Ubisoft, who will be talking about the design of Assassin’s Creed 3. GDC is scheduled to run from August 19th -21st in Cologne, immediately before this years Gamescom event.
