Konami announce European release of Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection

Konami have announced the European release for Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, the perfect way to get ready for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Arriving in September, exclusively for PlayStation 3, Konami describe the collection as, “the definitive Metal Gear Solid collection.” It will include all the games in the series, including the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, as well as some graphic novels including one that has never been on sale in Europe before.

Hideo Kojima, the series’ creator, was quoted recently as saying that he was looking for a studio to remake the original Metal Gear Solid. Although he has since said that he was mistranslated it would have been a perfect fit for the collection. Both Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 will be available in their HD forms, after the release of the HD collection last year.

For anyone who hasn’t played the original games, or just wants to recap on the series, the collection looks like being the perfect way to experience one of the most iconic game franchises of all time before getting their hands on one of the most anticipated games when The Phantom Pain is released.
