The Last of Us sells over 3.4 million copies worldwide
Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has sold over 3.4 million copies worldwide, both physical and digital, in the three weeks following its release, “surpassing all sales expectations,” according to Sony.
It is the fastest selling PlayStation 3 title of 2013 so far, according to the press release.
The Last of Us, a PlayStation 3 exclusive title, has been universally acclaimed by critics and fans both. It sits at a 95 out of 100 on reviews aggregate site Metacritic.
The post-apocalyptic game will receive one single-player piece of DLC, along with two multiplayer packs at a later date. A season pass for all three pieces of DLC is available for $19.99, a 30 percent discount from buying each one individually.
