Blizzard will begin testing a in-game microtransaction store for World of Warcraft in China, Community Manager “Bashiok” wrote on the official forums.

The store will sell an experience boosting item and “Lesser Charms of Good Fortune”, which let players have a chance at extra items from bosses.

World of Warcraft still requires a subscription fee to play, and Blizzard currently sells non-combat pets and mounts on its website.

Bashiok notes that player feedback will determine how the store is implemented.
