Spicy Horse plans to rename OZombie and will remove Alice film rights goal from Kickstarter
In an update on its Kickstarter, OZombie developer American McGee said it plans to rename the game and to remove the Alice film rights goal from its campaign.
In the post, McGee asked for feedback from the project’s backers, and said the plan could change.
The title, pronounced, “Oz-zombie,” causes” too much confusion,” he wrote, and so developer Spicy Horse is looking into alternate names.
Last week, Spicy Horse announced it had the ability to purchase the film rights to the Alice franchise for $500,000. To secure the option it would have to pay $100,000, so it added it as a stretch goal in the OZombie Kickstarter campaign.
