Game Freak speaks of French inspiration in regards to upcoming Pokemon game
Kotaku reported today that during the Japan Expo in Paris, the founder of Game Freak, Junichi Masuda, recorded a message in which he introduced himself and explained why the new region in Pokémon X and Y looks like France.
Masuda explained about his own travels to France, speaking of the country’s particular attention to both fashion and aesthetics of its cuisine. It is this, he continued, that made France teh best candidate to fulfill the new games’ theme, which he describes is “Beauty” (for those unaware, the new region, “Kalos”, means “beauty” in Greek).
In addition, Mr. Masuda went on to present one of the brand new Pokémon that you will encounter in the game. This Pokémon is a dual Steel/Ghost type, and takes the form of a floating sword that is possessed by an ancient soul. The sword’s name? Honedge.
Pokémon X and Y are expected to be released worldwide on October 12 for the Nintendo 3DS.
What other new Pokémon await in Kalos?
