FF VII pops up on Steam.
Looking through the Steam store today, we find a game that’s been widely praised by fans of the series, Final Fantasy VII.
This new version doesn’t answer the demands many gamers keep making of Square, however, as it is simply an upgraded version of the original, not a high-definition remake.
That said, it does boast several new features. Among these are achievements, the ability to save via cloud support, and character boosters, which allow you to increase your HP, MP, and gil to the max (many may not see any challenge with this implemented).
Finally, the page claims that it’s been optimized for PC, stating “FINAL FANTASY VII has been updated to support the latest hardware and Windows Operating Systems.”
Will gamers see this as a simple cash-in on the game’s popularity? Or will gamers play and enjoy the game as much, perhaps, as they did when it was originally released on the PlayStation One?
