Tokyo Jungle, for those unaware, places you in control of a variety of animals that are wandering around in Japan. It is sometime in the twenty-first century, and mankind is now completely extinct, allowing the animals to wander the once busy streets of Tokyo.
The game, which has been called “Grand Theft Auto with lions”, features a mission-based story. In this mode, you will complete various missions and eventually learn the truth behind the extinction of mankind.
You can also go with the Survival mode, which places you (and possibly friends, if you have people around that are playing with you. The game has local multiplayer.) in control of an animal and you must fight for as long as you can.
The upcoming PlayStation Mobile version will not be exactly the same as the original, featuring, among other differences, a top-down perspective. This new version is slated for July 10, and will cost $3 at launch, though afterwards it will increase to the normal price of $6.
All PlayStation Mobile games are compatible with the PlayStation Vita as well as select Android devices.
