Nintendo pulls out a new Chibi-Robo! game in Japan.
Yesterday, our friends at Kotaku brought our attention to a somewhat surprising development. Nintendo, without previous announcement (or rather, they announced it as they put the game up), threw up a brand new Chibi-Robo! game on Japan’s eshop.
For those unaware, Chibi-Robo! was initially released on the Nintendo Gamecube, and was, some believe, an extremely underrated game.
The new game is simple enough, utilizing AR, or augmented reality. You will be given shapes that you must find in the real world, which you must take a photo of. If you are successful, the chibi robot will pop up and whisk said item away.
With no announcement prior to release, how well will this new entry in Chibi-Robo! fare? Will this new game reach the shores of North America, or will Japan gamers be the only ones to enjoy it? Finally, will the newest Chibi-Robo! game be as underrated as many gamers believe the first entry in the game series was?
