Capcom won’t be attending gamescom this year

It’s now official. Capcom, the publisher behind games such as the Resident Evil franchise and recently rebooted DmC, will not be attending gamescom later this year.

This was revealed by the company in a simple statement to VG247 that simply states, “We’re not attending gamescom this year.” The event is once again set in Cologne, Germany, and is the biggest consumer gaming event in the entire world.

Capcom’s known high-profile game is Deep Down, which is set to hit the PlayStation 4 at an unspecified date.

If I was a betting man, I’d say Capcom will show Deep Down and then some at this year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS) which is set for September 9-12.

This year’s gamescom will take place on August 21-25, with the latter days of the show open to the public.
